Who Is CPFG?

We believe that the best way to serve a client is through teamwork, education, and by making complex problems simple.

Since all of our insurance and investment advisors are independent, and partner with our firm by choice, our clients wonder who CPFG is, and why our advisors choose to operate under our banner.

To answer this question, it is important to clarify who we are not. We are not owned by an insurance company or a bank –we are 100% independent. Although we may have great relationships with some insurance and investment companies, we are not married to one, and in actuality, work as advocates of our clients when dealing with insurance companies – from a new policy to helping work through the claims process.

Visualize a boutique law or accounting firm – there’s usually a group of partners who either started the firm or are its new leaders, they manage their practices and clients as well. A team of highly skilled associates manage and build their practice, and may be successors to the existing partnership. A team of technical experts help elevate the level of knowledge and advice the firm offers. Now let’s replace the lawyers and accountants with professional insurance advisors – that is Creative Planning Financial Group.

We operate as a collective unit with more and more in common to these professional structures – because the majority of our clients and professional partners come from these firms. When we first started in 1971, our goal was to be the advisors of choice to the business community, which remains our goal today in 2010.

Our firm’s makeup:

• 5 partners – building and protecting wealth of our clients & providing leadership and direction to CPFG;
• 25 associate advisors – building and protecting wealth of our clients;
• 1 fee-for-service financial planner
• 24 support staff – allowing our partners and advisors to do what they do best.

Our structure allows us to focus on the quality of advice we can give, and expand our knowledge and expertise, through strategic relationships with select industry professionals and by way of organic growth. Because of our diversity in advisors and specialties, we are able to support a diverse clientele.

We believe in making complex problems simple.  We act on this belief by creating open communication between our advisors and our clients – this is in the form of mandatory weekly meetings with everyone at the firm. We hold weekly educational sessions for our advisors through our in-house technical resources, select product providers, and trusted professionals from the community. Through this ongoing communication, we provide up to date, relevant, and actionable solutions for our clients’ personal and business planning issues.
